A gist of the department:

The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2023 and imparts education in Chemistry at Undergraduate level. The department follows the curriculum designed by the Dibrugarh University and adheres to the academic calendar of the institute. The department has adequate laboratory facilities for its students and has the capacity to admit 40 students at entry level in B.Sc. course every year strictly on merit basis.

  1. Title of the Practice: ChemScience-Weekly Updation of Science Articles
  2. Objectives of the Practice: To motivate the students to excel in their academic achievements, attitude and retention capacity.

To build foundation for excellence and develop the department in all aspects of education and research in the field of chemistry.

Mission:

To impart both theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry to the students so that the department becomes one of the leading department in the field of chemical research and to produce skilled chemists to serve the nation.

  • Strong collaboration with institutions and polymer, agro-chemical, pharmaceutical and dye industries.
  • To develop resources for students and to foster research interests among students.
  • The department aims to further distinguish itself through its innovative educational programs for undergraduate students in the field of chemical sciences and outreach activities.

  • Advancement of laboratory facilities.
